Ms Lee graduated in 2001 from what was then the College of Fine Arts at UNSW with a PhD in Art Theory .

The Archibald Prize was first awarded in 1921, and over the years some of Australia�s prominent artists have won, including George Lambert (1927), William Dobell (1943, 48 and 59) and Brett Whiteley (1976 and 78). The prize is awarded by the Trustees of the Art Gallery of New South Wales for the best portrait of a person famous in Art, Letters, Science or Politics.
