The schools and services are really great and there are many restaurants, shops and playgrounds. Not to mention the distances or traffic involved in driving from your home to wherever you need to be.
There is a real sense of community here, it is safe, and most people are friendly. The experience living here is unique in that it is very town connected and oriented. We have no sidewalks!
The inner city of Johannesburg is located within the city's Region F. The inner city is an extremely diverse region, with areas ranging from severely degraded residential areas such as Bertrams, to the somewhat stable commercial area of Braamfontein. However, living in a city is much expensive.

However, niche got the fact that Greenville (Edgemont) has only three schools; Seely and Greenville Elementary which goes K-6th. • Suburb is the area surrounding a city.
Its a good place to live.
I don’t know who is “stuck up” as it’s a middle class community $ wise. Lots of working families but also more than a few billionaires and multi-millionaires. Suburb living at its best!We have convenience at our fingertips with Trader Joe's, excellent restaurants, Pilates, several gyms, kids classes, easy access to the Sprain, Bronx River and 287 and our own train station with good parking options! The village, which is part of Eastchester, has it's own Mayor, police department, justice court, fire department, library and hospital. The City of Stirling municipality includes 30 suburbs, where our diverse community call home and where many businesses are located. There is not much to do in town, with barely any shops, however, the "Chappaqua Crossing" between Chappaqua and Mount Kisco has more shops and places to go with friends.
School are excellent. More businesses on Rockaway Avenue, more public transportation, and more affordable housing.Calculated based on crime rates for murder, assault, rape, burglary, and other crime statistics, as well as reviews from residents.Schools are shared with Plainview residents. The school system is excellent. The only downside is the options for nightlife, there are very few. Yet we're in a true home with a yard, which backs up to a beautiful state park, which provides endless entertainment and outdoor activities for us and our young kids. I attended Williamsville South High School during the remaining three years of my high school career and will never forget the memories that still positively affect my current life. Real estate is expensive, definitely a place own a home rather than rent. Westfield, New Jersey is a place like that of a television dream town. Education system is really important to everybody, and the school sports culture is also really heavily celebrated. A city is usually an administrative unit as well. The school system here, Chappaqua Central School District, is very well put together, with high rankings and test scores. Ridgewood did not miss a beat. Hastings on Hudson is a very historic place, and it can be seen, as some of the home are very old. We have same issues like the rest of the Island and creative positive newcomers should help! Downtown could use more nightlife.
We have made friends with families from all over town (through our kids sports, etc) and I know that every family loves their elementary school and neighborhoods.

Sarah Lawrence College and Concordia College border the village of 6,500 residents (1 square mile) which has a highly rated school district located on one campus. Schools have the International Baccalaureate certification throughout all grades (they are learning Mandarin in elementary school!). Police are very responsive and present and the fire department hosts an adorable Memorial Day Parade down East Hartsdale ending with ice cream at the fire house. The mass exodus of wealthier people from dense cities such as New York and San Francisco will be a catastrophe for the cities if it keeps up. If not quite an exodus, the pandemic has sent enough New Yorkers to the exits to shake up the area… Great for raising a family and close to doctor's offices and hospitals. The thought of moving to the suburbs inevitably crosses a city dweller’s mind at some point, perhaps with great resistance.
